I found another book tag and it’s from Mark Balas of Bong Bong Books. According to him, he got the idea from a video in Youtube and I quote:
Originally created by Booktuber The Book Jazz, The Reading Habits Book Tag is about answering questions that will tell how, when and where you mostly read.
By answering the questions, we might learn what weird things other readers do. Here’s the original video.
You can click HERE to read Mark’s original post and his answers to the tags! Now, as for mine:
1. Do you have a certain place at home for reading?
I don’t mean to do it all the time but maybe because I love natural light’s effect on pages, I often read at the first few steps of our stairs near the window. Also, the wide wooden steps offer a large area for my coffee and smartphone.
2. Bookmark or random piece of paper?
Nice question! I do love using random objects as my bookmark because unlike others I don’t think spending even a penny for a good bookmark is reasonable. I know they look fancy but what’s fancier than your boyfriend’s photo as your bookmark but I personally think the cards I got from RunRio Registrations serve the purpose. If I can’t find any other bookmark, I just remember the pages.
3. Can you just stop reading or do you have to stop after a chapter/ a certain amount of pages?
When at home and free to read as much as I want, I binge-read so I try to finish a book within certain hours. However, when I really have to pause because I need to do something life-threatening, I can stop whenever I want to and return in 299 792 458 m / s.
4. Do you eat or drink while reading?
Eating is difficult when reading. I’m overprotective of the wonderful pages of worlds in my hands so I prefer to just have a cup of coffee right beside me.
5. Multitasking: Music or TV while reading?
Either. When I’m at work, it’s music but when I’m in the middle of my Harry Potter Marathon, I prefer rereading the books while the movies play in the background.
6. One book at a time or several at once?
One book at a time. I read faster that way. Also, because I have a thing for series, I can get through the entire collection without being confused.
7. Reading at home or everywhere?
Everywhere. Home, someone’s home, MRT, planes, restaurants, and fastfood chains, parks… I haven’t tried it under the sea though so I won’t assume being all-knowing. lol
8. Reading out loud or silently in your head?
Silently because I love how I sound in my head. I’m sure you all have these amazing accents that you can’t do in real life, too! For example, whenever I read Harry Potter or Sherlock Holmes or Lord of the Rings, I assume a British accent that I cannot sustain when speaking. There are still those times when I just read a wonderful line out loud particularly when it’s THAT good.
9. Do you read ahead or even skip pages?
I prefer not doing that because it spoils everything. Once I do this, it only means the book is boring and not worth every word.
10. Breaking the spine or keeping it like new?
Keeping it like new even though some of my books are pre-loved, bought from Booksale. I prefer not putting any adhesive when covering my books, too. Also, I prefer buying the hardbound ones to avoid ruining the spine because when I return them to the shelves, they still look as good as new.
11. Do you write in your books?
NOOOOOOOOO. Heavens, no!
I know it helps other people remember lines or understand words better when they put notes but I prefer not doing that. The most I make is put my signature in front and the date and place I got the book. That’s it.
12. Who do you tag?
The usual people I tag when there’s a book tag lol.

Maiden, Sushi and Adobo
